Collections offer a tool to collect assets from different projects to an asset group, without uploading new assets or duplicating the existing ones. You can add members to the collection for collaboration or sharing, without them being members in the original project, and they won’t see to which project an asset belongs.
Deleting a collection will not delete any assets belonging to it. The deleted collection will be moved to trash bin from which it can be restored or permanently deleted.
Bear in mind, editing assets in a collection equals editing the actual assets.
Collections are found in the quick menu, from which you also can create a new collection.
On Colelction's Details, you may edit the users and sharing.
Create subcollections
With subcollections, you can create a project-like hierarchy for your collections by clicking the "Create a subcollection" button. Subcollections can be moved to or within a hierarchy by dragging and dropping either to the Collection card or in the breadcrumb trail.
Add assets to the Collection
Once the user has created a collection, assets can be added to the collection by clicking the collection icon next to favorites, with the bulk edit tool or from the collections section in the asset side menu.
Note: You may not add collections, drops, or projects to the collection.
You may also create a new collection/subcollection from selected assets on-the-fly
By clicking a collection you can go through the hierarchy and assign the asset to the desired level by clicking 'Add here'
Assets in a Collection
When an asset is added to a collection/collections, it will be displayed in the collection section in the side menu. Also, the asset will get an Attribute that displays that it belongs to one or multiple collections.
On the grid view, assets that belong to any collection are indicated with a collection symbol.
You can search through the entire collection hierarchy, including subcollections, using the 'Search this collection' button.
