Image Cropping Tool

All image assets can be cropped in Media Pocket with Image Cropping Tool. It will not affect the original image, but will create a separate crop version of it. Crops are also available via API.

How to use Image Cropping Tool

The cropping tool is found in the asset side menu by opening the cropping section and pressing "+ Add crop".

In the cropping tool, you may choose aspect ratio for the crop in the upper right corner and zoom in on the picture with the slider. You can recompose the picture by dragging the grid.

Once you're done, click save or update (you are able to edit/update crops simply by opening them again) and Media Pocket will start generating the crop. Each image can have one crop version per aspect ratio and they are found under the asset. The following actions can be done to crops when hovering the mouse over:

• Download
• Share
• Export as asset, which lets you create a new image asset of the crop version, while keeping the crop asset with the original image asset. This will also automatically copy all custom field metadata from the parent asset
