Media Pocket supports setup of different share destinations / protocols:
- Aspera: ASCP file transfer
- AWS S3: Cloud Storage
- Azure Blob: Cloud Storage
- Bunny.net: Video stream creation
- FTP: File Transfer Protocol
- SCP: Secure copy protocol
To share an asset to any destination you must first create and configure it as a publishing channel. The environment can have several publishing channels per type, such as different Aspera destinations. Prerequisites: credentials for the desired service.
Create a publishing channel
Only Admin users can create, edit or delete publishing channels. Admins can find the Publishing channel tool from the More section in Quick Menu on the left hand side. All environment's publishing channels are listed in the opening window.
You can create a new channel by clicking "+ Create".
Each channel type requires a different configuration, simply follow the instructions by pressing the "?" icon
By default, the channels are public to all users. If needed, the channel can be set to be private and shared with one or more users or user groups.
Share to Publishing Channel
Once the publishing channel is set, you may share assets in it by clicking "share" on top of the asset...
or with the bulk edit tool
Next, choose the share destination and click share. You will be notified when sharing is done.
Note: Guest users are not allowed to share assets to publishing channels.
Bunny.net
Bunny.net Stream is a feature provided by Bunny.net, a global content delivery platform, specifically designed for video streaming. It simplifies the process of hosting, delivering, and playing videos online.
In Media Pocket it's possible to get a Bunny.net video stream link, for videos uploaded to Media Pocket, which can then be shared anywhere.
To create a Bunny.net publishing channel you need a Bunny.net account (https://bunny.net/stream/). Contact support@mediatailor.fi if you are interested in learning more or need assistance configuring the feature.
